BOB DYLAN, Forever Young, a canção, o Livro, os desenhos (Publicado em 2 de Abril de 2010)

Um simpático livro totalmente dedicado a essa fantástica canção, "Forever Young", de Bob Dylan.

O autor, Paul Rogers, ilustrou frase a frase da música com desenhos lindíssimos onde até os Beatles aparecem.

I wrote "Forever Young" in Tucson. I wrote it thinking about one of my boys and not wanting to be sentimental. The lines just came to me. They were done in a minute, and that’s how the song came out. I certainly didn’t intend to write it – I was going for something else. The song wrote itself. Some songs are like that, disse Bob Dylan.

Mestre BOB lança um novo album, surpreendente,  com uma mescla de sons irresistíveis, entre muitas das novas canções, uma é dedicada a John Lennon, falamos de  "Roll On John", a música que lembra a sonoridade da Plastic Ono Band e músicas como "Mother". Ao contrário dos iluminados críticos que afirmam ser a pior canção do disco ( preconceitos anti-Lennon ou mesmo anti-Beatles)  tenho para mim que pelo contrário é uma das mais fantásticas do disco.

Bob Dylan e o álbum John Wesley Harding, misterioso, iniciático e com os Beatles...Consegue Ver?

Todos conhecem a importância de Bob Dylan na história da música popular. Os Beatles, assumiram e assimilaram muitas influências, o encontro com Dylan dá inicio a uma dessas fases criativas (há quem lhe chame outra coisa....com substâncias químicas à mistura), em 1967 Dylan edita um dos seus álbuns mais misteriosos e talvez dos mais irritantemente esquecidos, John Wesley Harding.

 

Em teoria este John Wesley Hardin (JWH) era um pistoleiro (assassino, racista entre outras coisas....) originário do Texas (1860). Mas Dylan adiciona um G no final (Hardin / Harding) aqui começa o culto de que JWH indicia 3 das letras do tetragrama JHWH ou seja Jehov(w)ah...o nome de Deus, estamos perante o Gospell do Deus Dylan.

 

Além da extraordinária música All Along the Watchtower (que George adorava, era um grande fã de Dylan....) que Jimi Hendrix fez uma notável versão, o que é que afinal os Beatles têm a ver com esta história?

 

Em junho de 1967 os Beatles editam Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, como sabem um dos primeiros álbuns conceptuais, Dylan é um dos que aparece na capa, além das influências claras na composição, veja-se o texto de A day in the life, agora é a vez de os Beatles influenciarem Dylan que avança com a resposta John Wesley Harding em Dezembro do mesmo ano.

 

A capa de John Wesley Harding encerra um segredo do universo Beatle, no tronco escuro por trás de Dylan (ao centro) e no topo, voltando o álbum ao contrário e utilizando uma lupa ou zoom, estão as fotografias dos 4 beatles escondidas, será mesmo?
