Idle Race - Birthday Party

O "grupo perdido" de Jeff Lynne antes dos ELO...  gravaram vários discos, inclusive uma versão de  "In The Summertime" dos Mungo Jerry. Os Beatles gostavam deste grupo, meio estranho, com uma sonoridade original, a crítica ajudou,  mas as vendas não, desapareceram para dar lugar a outros projectos mais sólidos como The Move e  os ELO (entre outros...) mas estes Idle Race são hoje uma banda de Culto.

Foi um dos primeiros LP a ter um Gatefold elaborado, logo a seguir a Sgt. Pepper. No interior da capa está a famosa colagem com a "Birthday Party", Ringo Starr, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Brian Jones, Elvis, Cliff, Little Richard, Buddy Holly, Scott Walker, etc, etc... ver a lista completa mais abaixo.
